About

The Kinnernet Unconference is an informal gathering of 100 like-minded individuals – thought leaders, technology addicts and other creative people, that gives everyone an opportunity to discuss topics and concepts that are of interest to them, share their thoughts, work-in-progress and tackle challenging problems. Together we will try to figure out where our physical and digital worlds are heading, and what are the prevailing trends.

You go to Kinnernet not as a delegate but as a participant. Collaboration is valued over hierarchy, discussions over statements. Known as an ‘un-conference’, crowd-sourcing determines the content of each event, which begins with an empty whiteboard to be filled by attendees with ideas for discussions. Everyone is expected to participate and contribute.

Chaired by Yossi Vardi one of the major figures of world-wide innovation eco-system who build over 60 high-tech companies in Israel, including Mirabilis ICQ that was sold for $400 million. The event originated in Israel in 2003 and is held several times a year in various parts of the world fostering a community of like-minded thought leaders who aspire to innovate and change the world for the better.

FAQ

Dress Code

Dress code is casual. Many activities are outdoor, including workshops and meals. Bring shorts, sport shoes and suim-suit.

Cost

The event is free and by invitaion-only. This includes meals, transportation (to/from LIS). Participants will kindly be requested to cover the [wholesale] cost of 3 night of lodging in the 4* hotel.

Lodging

Room sharing may be required but don’t expect to be in the luxurious room more than a total of 10 hours throughout the 70 hour weekend
